Bethany Lutheran Church  of Northport

We welcome you to our community of believers - committed to Christ and his ways in the world and to our community.

We gather for worship every Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m.  We sing, pray, listen to scripture and a message exploring its meaning and application to our lives.  We share in Holy Communion twice a month, a simple meal that conveys God's love.

Our upcoming Sunday School gatherings will be February 11th and March 10th.

Weekly Bible Study - Tuesdays at 2 pm

Pastor Chrysanne is hosting a weekly Bible Study on Tuesdays at 2 pm at Bethany, and online. (Call the Church office at 231/386-5037 for a link. All are welcome. The current topic of study is the Gospels: how are they alike? How do they differ?

Nurturing Through Knitting and Crochet

On the second and fourth Tuesdays from 5 - 6:15 pm, a group of Northport friends gather at Bethany to talk, to knit or crochet, and to create things that will nurture others. During the Fall and early Winter, we created hats and mittens for children at Northport Public School who need them.

Now we are working on prayer shawls that can be given to anyone who needs to know that they are loved and being prayed for.

For more information, check with Sally Coohon at Dolls and More, across from Tom's on Naganoba St.

All are welcome!

5 Loaves 2 Fish

Bethany is honored to be a partner with 5 Loaves 2 Fish, a Leelanau County ministry whose mission is to feed hungry people with locally-prepared, wholesome food.  There are no sign-in sheets or id's needed. Every Thursday afternoon from 4:00 - 5:30 pm a variety of foods are available for pick-up.  (There will not be a food distribution on Thanksgiving Day.)
